Overview
UBR is a multiplayer VR arena shooter game featuring two challenging game modes, a 5vs5 Team death-match and a 5-player co-op zombie survival game.
I worked on Ultimate Battle Royale Esports Arena (Previously Named Vortex VR) as the sole Game designer at Streaming Creativity Game Studios during the entire development process of the game.
My duties included:

Writing documentation including a one-page, Concept document, GDD & project roadmap.

Conduct gameplay research & facilitate brainstorming sessions with the whole team to develop the game vision.

Design and iterate the game’s features, mechanics, systems and modes within the determined game pillars, which included the following:

Player registration and avatar selection/customization

Player avatar positioning tutorial

Weapon system
-
Avatar body hit point system
-
Scoring and kill streak reward system
-
Health and respawn system
-
Design zombie types and behaviour based on health, speed and damage (Zombie survival Co-op mode only)

Zombie spawn and wave system (Zombie survival Co-op mode only)

Weapon buy and upgrade system (Zombie survival Co-op mode only)

Define and model the game’s economy using Excel worksheets (Weapon ammo count, Weapon tier system, resource gained per kill, weapon buy/upgrade price)

Balance and fine-tune gameplay elements based on playtesting and team internal feedback.

Define and design levels and game spaces for both Team death-match and Zombie survival Co-op mode.

Collaborate with UI/UX designer to ensure the game’s UI and UX flow accordingly within the intended player experience.

Assist 3D artists with listing and defining the assets required for each game mode.

Playtesting, Documenting and reporting bugs to the development team.
